Tocadisco

Having completed four out of six consecutive Sensation White parties – we thought it was high time we caught up with Tocadisco and picked his brain on what it’s like to be behind the decks at one of them. 30,000 people dressed in white in some of the world’s best cities… doesn’t sound too bad does it? Especially not with Tocadisco at the controls!

Hey Roman, thanks for taking the time out for us today – where in the world are you at the moment?

I’m actually at home. I moved into a new house in Cologne with my future wife. I now have all my instruments and studio under one roof… its fantastic.

When was your first Sensation White party?

New Years 2007/ 2008 in Düsseldorf was my first one!

Do you enjoy getting dressed up for them? Any favourite pieces of white clothing you always wear?

It’s cool because I buy a new outfit for every Sensation party I do – I get photographed at every one so I have to wear something new every time… otherwise it would look strange.

What’s been the best theme so far do you reckon?

I only saw two so far but the “Ocean of White” is pretty impressive…

You’re in the middle of doing an amazing 6 in a row… more than anyone else, which has been the best so far? Any stand out moments for you?

Its difficult to say. When you play you are so way up there and you have to concentrate a bit more than usual because hundreds of mobile phones and camera’s are filming you. But its fun still – I love it!

What’s coming up for the rest of 2009? Anything emerging from the studio? We loved your most recent single… and we’ve heard rumours of an album too. Tell us more!

Yes. I already finished my new album at the beginning of this year, it’s called “Toca 128.0 FM”. The next single will be out soon and in the end of August the album will be released…

Infos

Watch out for Tocadisco’s new artist album “Toca 128.0 FM” out on Superstar Recordings in Q4 2009.
